What came first, Spain or California. Well, there is no need to state the obvious; but Spain really does have some cool specie from North and Central America! . . . as well as the bird of paradise from South America. I do not know the natural range of the century plant in Central America, but it is occasionally seen in landscapes that are large enough for them in Southern California. They are not quite as popular here.
