Hey! I just featured that! I mean the Salvia leucantha. When do the pineapple guava ripen there? They seem to be variable here, but when they do decide to ripen, they all ripen within a month or less.
Okay, so not so late into winter. I think that is about the time they are ready here when they are early. Sometimes, they are still out there in the frost. We do not get very cold weather here, but it frosts very lightly. You would think that a bit of a chill would improve flavor, but I think that they get starch instead. I do not know for certain, of if the starchiness is caused by something else.
